The US Department of Defense authorized, beginning in World War I, the display of service flags by the families of US Service members. Service flags had a blue star for each member of the armed forces from that family. This blue star was replaced by a gold star outlined in blue if a member of the family died while in the armed forces.

In this tradition we offer our Service Star Decal.
